Preparing for [X]Pendapalooza 10

You are here: Home / Social Media Articles / Preparing for [X]Pendapalooza 10

April 11, 2013 //  by Mike Allton

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Are you preparing for [X]Pendapalooza 10, April 20, 2013 on Empire Avenue? If you have been thinking about joining Empire Avenue (EAv), the social media stock market game, this buying frenzy will be a great opportunity to connect with hundreds of new investors at once. Many players are also generous with their missions during the festivities and provide new players with the eaves they need to invest in others.

If you are already active on Empire Avenue, these tips should help you prepare:

1. Be active in the week leading up to [X]Pendapalooza 10.

Some people will be selling off inactive and low dividend stocks in order to participate longer in the buying blitz. Increase your chances of being held by keeping your activity level on EAv and other social networks as high as possible. Consider sending a shareholder message to keep your name and face familiar.

2. Stop culling your porfolio for a few days.

If you frequently trim your portfolio, stop now. You will be digging around looking for inactives to sell right before or during the party. Make it easier on yourself by letting the low hanging fruit accumulate for the next few days.

3. Consider whether you need a portfolio upgrade.

I have about 959 investments in my portfolio. I need to upgrade if I want to add the 100-200 accounts I have added at past [X]Pendapaloozas.

4. Think about running a mission. What would you promote?

People will be hungry for missions during the bash. If you do decide to run one, keep the task simple. Remember, everyone will be busy making buys during the party. They will not have time for difficult missions.

5. Save some eaves to spend at the blitz.

Unfortunately, you cannot save eaves in a separate savings account anymore. In the week leading up to [X]Pendapalooza 10, you should store up some eaves in your main account in order to make your buys. Of course, no one minds if your bring your wallet the day of the party and buy more eaves with your cash.

6. Plan to show up on time.

The festivities kick off at 10:00 am EDT Saturday April 20, 2013. Those who put their names at the top of the list benefit most, though many latecomers will still gain more new shareholders than they can possibly reciprocate. Anyway, the earlier you get there, the lower the prices of the shares you buy in others will be.

7. Remember, Cinderella, it all ends 24 hours later.

Do not be a super douche canoe and try to sign up after the final bell at 10:00 am EDT Sunday April 21, 2013.

How are you preparing for [X]Pendapalooza 10? Let us know below.

See you there!
