How can I help You?

You are here: Home / Digital Marketing / How can I help You?

Help. According to dictionary.com, it means, “to give or provide what is necessary to accomplish a task or satisfy a need; contribute strength or means to; render assistance to; cooperate effectively with; aid; assist: He planned to help me with my work.” To accomplish a task, or satisfy a need. That’s what most businesses strive to do, isn’t it? But if you read the complete definition, it means more than just providing what is necessary. It says that to Help also means to contribute strength or to render assistance or to cooperate effectively with. In other words, To Help might mean to empower you to help yourself.

A business consultant that I’ve worked with taught me an interesting phrase that I’ve incorporated into my entire business philosophy:

I can tell you what you need to do.
I can tell you what you need to do, and teach you how to do it.
I can tell you what you need to do, and just do it for you. You choose.

How can I help You?

Most days, I help people and businesses by offering free advice in the form of blogs and articles, social media posts, emails and other writings. I write about blogging, content marketing, social media, SEO, internet marketing, mobile apps and technology. I spark discussions on these topics and engage with people every day. And for some of you, most of you, that’s more than enough. Most of my readers and followers get interested in a specific post because it answers some question they have at that moment, or clues them in to a new tool or technique that they’re intrigued by.

If that’s you, that’s great! I appreciate your interest and am glad you’ve found this and other articles you thought were worth your time.

Tell me where you’re struggling.

If you have specific challenges or questions that you’d like to see me cover in one or more future articles, let me know! I’m always looking for new topics to explore and questions to answer. Leave your questions in the Comments below and I’ll either answer them right there, or make plans for a future article.

Get the help you need.

For some of you, reading an article or two isn’t enough, and you just don’t have the time to dig through the hundreds of posts and hundreds of hours of material on TheSocialMediaHat.com. You’ll still be no closer to your goals. I can tell you what you need to do all day long, but it won’t be enough. You need more.

Training

My passion is actually in teaching. I love to help business owners – to empower them – to help themselves. I teach owners and their employees the principles and techniques of Inbound Marketing so that they can leverage their website, content and social networks to increase web traffic, generate leads, and convert those leads into sales. If you’re interested, I can teach you how to write and publish blog posts, how to develop an interested audience on social networks, and how to use social media for prospecting, both for influencers and clients.

Understand that we’re not just talking about teaching you how to log into Twitter and send a tweet, though that’s certainly part of it. We’re going to explore what interests you, what goals you have, and how social media and blogging can be used to achieve both. As the great Vince Lombardi said, “Coaches who can outline plays on a black board are a dime a dozen. The ones who win get inside their player and motivate.” I can’t wait to get you excited about blogging and excited about social media, and it doesn’t matter what your business is! We can find points of interest and platforms you enjoy and run with them.

Training sessions can take place in person, via conference calls, or as webinars using Google+ Hangouts. The topics can vary with your needs, and the length and frequency of the training sessions are up to you.

Ongoing Assistance

While I prefer to teach businesses how to write and be active on social networks, the reality is that not everyone has time. And if that’s you, that’s OK! If you already have too much on your plate running your business and doing what you’re good it, it’s OK to get some extra help. For many clients, I help with:

  1. Blog Post Writing and/or Publishing and Promoting
  2. Social Media Activity, including content creation and curation
  3. Social Media Monitoring
  4. Social Media Listening
  5. Search Engine Optimization and Marketing
  6. HootSuite Training

As of Tuesday, October 1, I have 3 slots open for ongoing consulting, training and/or direct assistance. If that’s the kind of help you’re looking for, please email me at mike@thesocialmediahat.com and tell me a little about yourself and your business, and what you’d like to accomplish. You’ll find that my prices aren’t expensive; they’re reassuringly priced.

How can You help Me?

If you’re enjoying my articles, there are a number of ways that you can show your appreciation, and many of you are already doing these things:

  1. Share my most interesting posts. When you find an article I’ve written that you particularly enjoy, share it! Both your friends and I will appreciate it.
  2. Leave a comment. Let me know what you think of an article or an idea or topic I’ve discussed. Ask questions, and I’ll respond!
  3. Click an affiliate link. Part of what allows me to continue to offer these articles is the support I get from ad and affiliate revenue. Thank you for your help!
  4. Follow me on Social Networks. I’d love to connect with you Twitter or Google+, where I do most of my engaging.
  5. Recommend me. If you know someone, a business owner, who is struggling to get a handle on their internet marketing, who is wearing one too many hats already and just doesn’t have time for Social Media Marketing, ask them to give me a call.

If there’s anything else I can do to Help You, please let me know!
