Facebook updates Pages Manager app

Facebook has released version 1.2 of their Facebook Pages Manager app, their app dedicated to helping page owners update and moderate their Facebook Page for their business and social media marketing.

The new update includes:

  • Now available in 11 languages
  • Upload photos to your Page's albums
  • See photos that are attached to messages
  • Bug fixes and performance updates

If you aren't already using Pages Manager, this is what Facebook has to say about it:

Twitter App Updated, Many Improvements Added

Twitter has released version 4.3 of Twitter for iPhone and Twitter for Android. According to the update, the release includes:

 - Expanded Tweets: when you view Tweet details containing links to partner websites, you can now see content previews, view images, play videos and more [note that this feature is rolling out gradually]

 - Enhanced experience around selected events with the best Tweets and photos from those involved

 - Push notifications for Tweets: choose to receive notifications from people you follow any time they tweet or retweet

Changes to LinkedIn and Twitter, and what they mean to you.

Starting in 2009, LinkedIn users had the option of connecting their Twitter account to their LinkedIn profile. This provided two feature benefits. First, any time you posted a status update or started a conversation on LinkedIn, you could choose to also have that post shared on Twitter as a new Tweet. Second, every time you posted a new Tweet via Twitter, that comment was posted as a new status update on LinkedIn. Many individuals and businesses took advantage of this option to automate their activity on one platform or another.

Facebook Releases Pages Manager App

Business owners who have Facebook Pages can now use a new app from Facebook to help manage their pages: Pages Manager. With this app, it is much easier for Page Admins to post updates, view comments, and other essential tasks.

Admins can manage multiple pages easily. More importantly, admins now have access to Insights, Facebook's analytics for Pages.
