Edit Facebook Posts and Comments from your iPhone!

Facebook has brought some much-needed functionality to the iPhone: post and comment editing! According to today's update, Facebook users can now edit their posts and comments, and tap to see their changes.

The update also gives users the option to insert a photo as part of a comment on a post from their mobile phone.

Additionally, the update includes:

  • Express yourself with icons when you post to someone's timeline (in English only)
  • Get to privacy shortcuts by tapping the lock by your name in the main menu
  • Bug fixes

To edit a post, go to that post in your timeline and then tap the small icon in the upper right corner to reveal the post menu, giving you options to Delete, Edit Post, View Edit History and more. Tapping on Edit Post will bring you into the familiar edit mode, and you won't be able to save until you've made some change. Saving will immediately change your live post accordingly, and add an "Edited" tag to the timestamp of the post.

To add a comment to a post, tap the Comment icon and then tap the Camera icon to the left of the comment text field, giving you access to your Camera Roll and Albums. If you haven't already, you may need to grant Facebook permission to access your Pictures.

Are you excited for these changes? Any other changes you've noticed with this update?
