Facebook is "building something"
Facebook has issued an invitation to media outlets to a press event next Tuesday, Jan. 15th. The invitation says only, "Come and see what we're building."
There are rumors still circulating about a new Facebook Phone. With last week's CES conference, many tech companies like Samsung were getting a lot of great press, while little has been heard from Facebook. A recently leaked HTC device code name list included the name "opera" which has been linked to a Facebook Phone in the past.
Another possibility is the reveal of an overhauled Facebook Timeline. We have already reported that the timeline is definitely changing, and testing has already begun for select users.
Regardless, Facebook appears to be taking a page from Apple and working on generating excitement, interest and speculation into what's coming up.
What do you think Facebook has in store for us? Do you think it will be worth the hype, or a disapopintment?
